From B&B to Hotel ***
The strong word-of-mouth influence during the sixties caused a very large request for more accommodations in the region of Merano. These circumstances lead to further investments with the result of more beds and additional rooms for breakfast and living.
From 1966 also B&B „Karin“ at Tirolo offered only double rooms with warm and cold water as well as breakfast on the sunny terrace. Already in the seventies a small reconstruction had been necessary as more comfort meant a better competition. Only in the eighties a full equipped professional kitchen was added in order to offer half board instead of only B&B.
The next big renovation took place from 2001-2002 which was aimed to a new category: „Hotel Karin“.
The sleeping rooms became bigger and cosier, 2 apartments with adjacent kitchen were added,
the hotel-kitchen further amplified and the entrance together with the bar room completely modernised.
